This morning a transformer exploded beneath the AED building at 1875 Connecticut, Avenue. Over 100 individuals from across the gamut of DC Emergency Services responded (most being fire-fighters). It took several hours to regain control of the situation. The above picture is a firefighter looking on at yet another attempt to battle back the blaze.
